WEEKLY ROUNDUP March 25th to April 1st

WHAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THIS WEEK:

Taxation (Annual Rates for 2017-18, Employment and Investment Income, and Remedial Matters) Bill

Two things in life are certain....death and another weekly post from PH talking about taxes! This bill aims to modernise, improve, and increase fairness in our taxation system. It will simplify the way in which taxes are collected and penalties are payed, address some GST-related matters, and reduce biases in how incomes from different sources are taxed. Click the link above for more things that technically aren't death.

Health (National Cervical Screening Program) Amendment Bill

This bill is all about access: specifically, who gets to access the information on the cervical screening register and how they get this access. The change is aiming to move away from the old (old, old) process of faxing for permission to letting trained health professionals have direct access to the register. Take a look at the link above if you want to know more!

GET IN QUICK IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A SAY ON...
